Agile is an approach based on the 2001 Manifesto, built to adapt to change. Scrum is structured through sprints (1–4 weeks), daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Kanban is flow-based, with a WIP (Work in Progress) limit. Which to choose depends on the team's type of work.
Common Agile misconceptions: "We don't write documentation," "We don't plan" — both are wrong. Agile rejects excessive bureaucracy, not documentation itself. Sprint planning, backlog grooming, and a clear definition of done are the foundation of successful Agile. The retrospective is the most valuable ceremony: the team discusses what went well and what needs to improve.
